Questions about starting therapy?
Beginning therapy can come with a lot of practical questions. Here, you’ll find information about consultations, choosing a therapist, rates, insurance, scheduling, and what to expect from the process.
Getting Started
-
Begin by scheduling a free 15-minute video or in-person consultation. We’ll ask what you’re looking for from therapy, discuss therapist fit and finances, and explain the next steps. After the consultation, you’ll be connected with your therapist to schedule your first full session.
-
The consultation is a brief conversation rather than a therapy session. We’ll ask a few questions about what brings you to therapy, what you hope will change, and what you’re looking for in a therapist. We’ll also discuss rates, availability, and the process for scheduling your first appointment.
-
You can review Chelsea, Sam, and Emily’s therapist pages to learn more about their personalities, specialties, and approaches.
Not sure who to choose? Select Chelsea when scheduling your consultation, and she’ll help connect you with the therapist who appears to best fit your needs, preferences, and goals.
-
Availability varies by therapist, and the scheduling page displays each clinician’s current consultation times. If you don’t see an option that works, email us at info@truenorthnash.com.

Chelsea and Sam are available to eligible clients through Lyra.
If you have out-of-network benefits, we can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Reimbursement depends on your individual plan, deductible, and out-of-network benefits, so we recommend contacting your insurance company directly to confirm your coverage.

Limited adolescent openings may also be available depending on age, therapist fit, and current availability. Chelsea may work with clients ages 12 and older, while Sam and Emily may have limited availability for older teens. Schedule a consultation so we can determine the best fit.
